You'll have a lot of fun

Yes, even the person that hates having their photos taken. You won’t be asked to pose in an uncomfortable way or be expected to know how to stand, or what the heck to do with your hands.

You’ll be playing games (kids, race to your parents and give them a big hug!) and focused on your connection (tell each other the story of how you met). It’ll feel like you’re just having fun in the desert (because you will be).

Enjoy the beauty of the desert

Part of your photo session is truly enjoying your surroundings. Whether it’s your first or 50th time in Joshua Tree National Park (or maybe you’re a local like me), we’ll be out exploring, enjoying the rocks and trees and whatever majestic sky we see on that day. Will it be a crazy windy day? We’ll have fun with that too.

Photography has been my thing for over 20 years! I know how to make sure you’re comfortable, feeling connected, and looking great in any lighting.

Joshua Tree has been my home for 5 years. I know the best spots for photos and what the sky looks like after the sunset; we’ll get a ton of beautiful photos that you adore.

Why hire me to photograph you and your loved one(s)?

You want beautiful photos that show the real you.

Relationships and families are playful, silly, serious, and always full of love. I want to show off all sides of your connection and how you interact. This is accomplished by giving you small prompts or fun things to imagine or talk about. I’ll also set you up in some comfortable poses, but I’ll also always be on the lookout for the candid moments in-between.

My husband and I have a 9 year old daughter. I’ve been on the other side of all these types of photos as well. And while I’m great at shooting, I definitely freeze up while on the other side of the lens. So, I completely understand how it feels to be uncomfortable, but I know how truly amazing it is to receive those photos that come back looking like your true, happy self; it’s magic, and I’ve been perfecting these tricks for a long time. I’m never looking to just “get it done.” I work hard to make you feel comfortable so you’ll love your photos forever.
