Hamilton Oaks Vineyard is a historic location, hidden amongst some of the last remaining orange groves of this Orange County wedding venue in the city of San Juan Capistrano. Located just off the 5 freeway, it is super easy to travel to and a true local, and might I add secret, gem; having grown up in southern California and probably passing this location 100s of times, I can’t believe I never knew this vineyard and orange tree paradise was hiding right there all along. It was the perfect setting for the marriage of Katy and Nate who live in the nearby beach town of San Clemente.
Before Nate proposed to Katy, he had a mission to complete: 1,000 hand folded cranes to show his love and dedication to their life together. He would fold these in secret at any chance he would get when Katy was not around. Friends would donate special papers; Katy’s sister donated some of her sheet music, with handwritten notes and all. The project took him an entire year. It only makes sense that these cranes were then used as a center piece to their wedding ceremony and reception. Along with the handmade art pieces placed at each table, this was one of the most colorful and vibrant celebrations we have seen and it was a joy to work with the super sweet and laid back couple.
