One of the reasons we moved to Mendocino was that I realized we didn’t need to be sitting in a sketchy area of Oakland, staring out our desk window at an apartment building. We managed to find exactly what we were looking for: a view of nature, and in this case, Redwoods after Redwoods. This peacock friend showed up one day and entertained me for about a week while I worked… this view is right out my window from where I sat with my laptop. The peacock was just another part of our wild Mendocino dream come true.
