In between all the rain that fell in December, a crazy beautiful phenomenon happened just before sunset over the skies of Mendocino. We were inside when we noticed the intense orange glow, and we bolted for the door. Maurice ran to the neighbor’s house shouting “Get outside, now! Coolest thing I’ve ever seen!!!” It was surreal and an incredible thing to share. Note: skin tones are how they appeared under that orange light… no filters or other manipulation. None of us had ever seen anything like it.
